A village sacrifices a young virgin every year to ensure their success in the spring. In my version, the young women is in love but understands that her role for the larger good is to dance herself to death without every expressing her physical love.  What and who do we sacrifice as a society and as individuals of a larger community? Those are some of the questions I posed myself as I entered my nEW creative research.
